Sistem magnetic

Hi there! Ever played with magnets? They are really cool, right? You can put them on your fridge or use them to clip papers together. But do you know what makes them tick? So now, let's get into the fun of magnets!

Magnetic force is the special power of magnets. It explains why magnets can stick to each other or repel each other. This force is produced by tiny particles known as electrons that can be found in certain materials. These include ferromagnetic materials such as iron, cobalt, and nickel. These kinds of materials are called ferromagnetic materials because they are capable of becoming magnets. This arrangement of electrons creates what is referred to as a magnetic field surrounding the material when placed in a particular manner. This magnetic field is what makes magnets so powerful and fun to play with!

How magnets work and their applications

Magnet has two sides referred to as poles. One end is the north pole, the other end the south pole. When we bring two magnets close-(both having a N and a S pole) polarity something interesting happens! Devices with opposite poles, such as a north pole and a south pole, attract each other. That’s called attraction, and it makes the magnets cling to each other. But if you try to bring two of the same poles together, such as two north poles, they repel each other. This is called repulsion. That’s why magnets can stick to metal things such as your fridge or a paperclip. Which means magnets are everywhere in our day-to-day lives! Say that, for example, you’ve come across a compass. A compass is a small tool that uses a magnet to discover what way is east. Well, it is very helpful for people who are exploring or even the hiking. Magnets are also used in motors and generators, which generate electricity that powers our homes and many of our devices.

Reading Time: 4 minutesDid you know that magnets have been used by people to cure diseases since the ancient Greeks? The ancient Greeks discovered magnets thousands of years ago and used a naturally magnetic stone called magnetite. They believed it was a magical stone! But people didn’t start really understanding how magnets work until the 1800s. In the 19th century, magnets were studied more rigorously and scientists started to learn about them and their properties. Then in the 1900s, scientists ironed out stronger magnets. Today, these powerful magnets are used in many important machines, for example MRI machines. MRI machines allow doctors to see inside your body without performing any cuts. They use magnets to create detailed pictures of what’s happening inside you, and that can be really useful for doctors to know how to treat patients.
